Entry #12 - 2008-10-15

I have now added a menu system so that you can look at whichever flavour reel you like. There's the general reel, which shows off my work in a project-by-project way, theres a short reel which is very general but good for those pressed for time or bandwidth. The art reel shows off more concept type work, and the massive reel is exclusively videos of my work on the massive system. I also included "40 feet under", my uni final year major project. I used massive for some of the effects even though the crowd is quite small. I also did a lot of mocap for it, thanks to Andy Cousins for being the mocap technician on that, and to Simon Allen for the actual acting.

Hooray! Added an flv showreel to the right hand side panel! This is my most general showreel (though I have made several others which focus on different areas). You need a fairly recent version of flash player to watch it though.

Done a few more things to the site!
Yesterday added pre-loading rollover buttons for downloading my CV without using a single line of javascript. The rtf CV is online, but I'm still hacking away on latex to get the pdf CV out. Expect that to be live in the next few days. Also took care of a few other small things, like link colouring and centering the footer. I still need to do a lot of work to get the multi language CRACK section working, and I haven't even begun to sort out the CSS for internet explorer (which renders this site very poorly right now). I'll put together a php script to determine the browser, then serve a different css file depending on the user agent.
Phew, a lot more hacking to go!

Entry #8 - 2008-10-03

Here's the new site skin! Learning css, xhtml, php and (gasp) js. Perhaps even flash too! Right now I'm adding and modifying stuff as I go, so do not dispair if something is broken, I am literally working on it now. In the meantime, there's always my deviantart page.

You can also tab over to CRACK which is a good laff, and still works, sort of.
